
The Washington Post’s Dan Lamothe today was recognized by the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation with one of its 2020 annual awards for outstanding portrayals of the Marine Corps. He was awarded the Major Megan McClung Award for his reporting on the experiences of U.S. troops deployed to Afghanistan.

James Kessler, the chief executive officer of the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, stated: “Our award honorees are accomplished professionals who have used their extraordinary talents to tell a piece of the Marine Corps story.
